About Us

At Hale House, we believe BEING is just as important as DOING. That a balanced life will produce greater, more consistent results.

Today, we spend far too much time in fight-or-flight (our sympathetic nervous system). This system was intended to be used short-term to help us escape life-threatening situations. Once the threat was neutralized, we're to resume regular function within our parasympathetic nervous system (aka rest-and-digest).

From being jolted awake by alarm clocks, rushing to get out the door, sitting in traffic, pressure at work, strained relationships, supporting others first, toxic food choices, intense workouts, poor sleep, and so on and so forth... We are hardly ever rooted in the parasympathetic.

Simply put, only in the parasympathetic can our bodies recover, heal, and clear out the "junk" of the day. If this critical process never happens, then toxins build up in the body, our systems begin to malfunction under stress, and disease is inevitable.

Hale House provides a place for you to come and just be. Not only to kick back and relax, but to actively promote healing and boost recovery time.

We know time is valuable, so optimizing rest and recovery is key. Our approach focuses on the full package - mind, body, and soul. It was so important for us to offer our services 24/7, because we believe BEING should be just as accessible and available as DOING.

When you walk through the doors at Hale House, stress will fall away as you transition into a state of rest and relaxation. An escape from modern life. A chance to reconnect with yourself.

By honoring and caring for yourself first, you're better able to serve others from a place of love and kindness more consistently and sustainably.

What would it look like to always show up as the best version of yourself?

We're here to help you get there.

Hale House History

In December 2021, Tracey tested positive for COVID-19. Despite being young, healthy, and fit, she suffered complete respiratory failure due to double pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism. She spent a total of 24 days in the hospital and over 50 days on oxygen. As a competitive athlete, she pushed harder than ever to recover and heal. She became open to any and all science-based recovery modalities to help speed the process.

As a "hater of the cold,” yet unable to deny the massive amounts of supportive scientific research, she decided to try hot/cold therapy. Surprisingly, she fell in love! Not only did it help reduce inflammation and promote quicker healing, but it also served to improve mental resilience and sleep quality while safely working her lungs at the same time. Physicians and physical therapists were shocked by her unusually quick recovery.

In 2022, Tracey ventured out on a bucket list trip across the country touring National Parks. Refusing to stall her progress, she sought out hot/cold therapy wherever she went. She met tons of others that also love hot/cold therapy for various reasons. Upon returning to the Tidewater area, Tracey felt it was her calling to share this valuable recovery tool with her community right here in Chesapeake, VA.
